In two years of volunteering, I engaged in branding, graphic design, UX research, and end-to-end product design.
As the lead product designer, I led a comprehensive redesign of the app and website, emphasising vibrant colours and energetic, but minimal, styles to reinforce the platform's message of positivity.

I began volunteering with Positiveo in 2022 as a UI/UX designer and soon became social media content team lead (concurrently).
After about a year, with some senior exits, I became the lead product designer, and was tasked with bringing the improved social media engagement my team had generated to the app. Very little research had been done when designing the original version of the app, and the previous team had overlooked several key features and core user flows. As a result, I proposed a complete redesign that would better capture the app's original vision.
After connecting with users on social media and conducting extensive user research (interviews, usability studies, and surveys), my 5-person team began an end-to-end redesign of both the app and website. The entire process took about a year, largely due Positiveo's dependence on volunteering, where I shouldered a majority of the design work.
The redesign was centred around a new home page (previously the forums screen) and more intuitive navigation. Careful attention was paid to make navigating the app's core functions as simple as possible to a broad audience. The following screenshots showcase a summarised glimpse into the extensive design work that was completed (over 600 screens in total).
